Saturday, December 2 |10 AM – 1 PM | Firefighters Toy Drive, Sobeys High Street
In support of our local fire station, we will be hosting a Firefighter’s Toy Drive. Toys must be new and unwrapped for children ages 0–12. This year, the target age groups for toys are ages 0-3 and 9-12 years of age.
The Calgary Firefighters Toy Association is a volunteer-led organization that accepts new and unwrapped toy donations for their annual Community Kids Christmas event.

A couple of firefighters from McKenzie Towne Station 30 stopped by the toy drive on their way back to the station.

The picture below was taken to show the outcome from our toy drive held on Dec 2nd. Along with the numerous donated toys, we also received donations of clothes, 18 hand knitted baby blankets, 2 – $19 ultimate game passes and several stuffed toys.

Saturday, November 4 | 10 AM – 1 PM | Veterans Food Drive, Sobey’s High Street
The Veterans Food Bank of Alberta will be the recipients of all donations. The Veterans Food Bank of Alberta serves Veterans and first-responders (police, fire, EMS).
A list of items that you could donate to the Food Bank can be found here.

The picture below was taken to show the outcome of our food drive. When it was delivered to the Food Bank, the total weight came to 123 lbs. We also received two $50 gift certificates and a $5 donation.

Results of the Winter Gear drive

Saturday, October 21 | 10 AM – 1 PM | Winter Clothing Drive, Sobey’s High Street

Mona Cinderelly (local resident, who tirelessly donates her time to ensure those less fortunate have warm winter clothing on the streets in Calgary) will be recipient of donations. Mona is well known and supported in our community.

The Winter Gear Drive received clean winter clothes (jackets/sweaters, socks, mitts, hats, gently used backpacks) to donate to those in need.
